Li-Ning Offers Wood Pickleball Paddles Because They are Ideal for Students
When Pickleball started in the 1960s and 1970s, paddles were made exclusively from wood. We wanted to make sure you still have the option to purchase a wood Pickleball paddles because they are great for introductory clinics that expose students to the game of pickleball. They are durable and very inexpensive and a great way to present one of the most popular growing sports in the United States and Canada for all ages.
Recreational centers, retirement communities and high school physical education classes are the perfect settings to use wood Pickleball paddles because of the shared environment and abundance of beginner and novice players. You want to be able to learn (or teach) the game of Pickleball to various groups of people who likely have little to no exposure to the sport. Wood Pickleball paddles, often made of layered veneer plywood such as birch, provide enough control to deliver good enough shots that ultimately will result in an enjoyable experience playing Pickleball.
Play the game as it was originally intended and feel like a Pickleball purist with a wood paddle in your hand all while knowing these paddles are approved by the USA Pickleball Association. Since Li-Ning understands you are likely buying a wood Pickleball paddle as a student or instructor, we wanted to make bulk orders even more affordable so buy a few and he price drops even more.
Get a Grip on Your Pickleball Paddle
The grip circumference of your Li-Ning Pickleball paddle will play an important part in how the paddle feels in your hand. Most grip sizes are going to be around 4 ¼ inches. A small hand might want something closer to 4 inches while those who have a larger grasp might feel better with a 4 ½ inch grip on their Pickleball paddle. If you find a paddle you like but the grip is a little off, remember you can always add grip tape to reach your preferred circumference.
